What do you do when your life turns into a digital portrait?
Goldin is an illustrator who has created portraits and other illustrations for many years, but his latest book, The Life of Art, is his first look at what he calls the “digital life.”
He calls it “the digital age.”
Goldin says that the “life of art” is a world that’s more interactive, connected, and open than ever before.
“There’s no fixed order of time, you don’t have to go to school, you can be anything you want,” he says.
You can create any image you want, he says, and then, when you’re done, “you can look at it and say, ‘What happened?
How did I make that image?'”
Goldin says he doesn’t know exactly how the process works, but he’s seen that it’s a way for people to explore their digital lives.
When you are creating art, you are not creating it digitally, but you are also creating a life.
Goldin points out that you are, in essence, making a “living.”
You are “making an image,” he adds, that you can share on social media and share with others.
In the book, Goldin talks about his own experiences as a digital artist.
He says that, when he was in college, he did a few short-term projects with a friend, one for a university and one for his art studio.
“I started to make digital art.
I was kind of obsessed with the way digital was changing the world and changing art.
Then one day, I saw a poster on Facebook, and I said, ‘Well, I’ve got to make this poster.
Why don’t I do this?
This poster is so amazing.’
The next day, my friend and I had to make a poster.
I said I’m going to put it on my wall, and the next day he did it.
I’m like, ‘This is so awesome!’
After that, I got really interested in it, and as an artist, I love to see other people make things.”
He points out how, if you have a portfolio of artworks, the more people who see them, the better.
But, he said, there’s also an underlying philosophy behind digital art: “I believe that the more things you create, the stronger you become.
I believe that if you make a living, you have to make money.”
“It’s not just about the money,” he continued.
“You can be doing it as an experiment and create something that is beautiful.
If you don.t want to do that, then don’t do it.”
He says he hopes that his book will help other artists to see that, “the world is not static.
There are opportunities to be creative, to explore yourself.”
