Nickelback’s ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ Video is a Top 5 Hit on YouTube
Nick Jonas has officially been named the best-selling album of 2017 by a member of the world’s biggest music community, according to the latest Billboard Music Awards.
According to the Nielsen Music report, the video for Nickelback song Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Brain was the most-viewed song on YouTube and garnered 2.7 billion views across all platforms.
The Billboard Music Award, which was announced last week, also named Kanye West’s Yeezus album the most popular album of the year and Beyoncé’s Lemonade the most influential album of all time.
“It was a little bit of a surprise for me,” Jonas told Billboard in an interview that aired on Monday.
“The biggest surprise was how many people actually listened to it.”
The album’s single “Eternal” was the No. 1 album in the US and No. 3 in Canada, and it topped Billboard’s album chart in the UK.
The album, which debuted at No. 2 in the charts in March and No: 4 in the same week in April, is Jonas’ first No.1 hit in a year.
He says that he wasn’t expecting the number to be so high.
“It was kind of a shock when I started doing it, I don’t think,” he said.
“I think it was just a different kind of response.
The people I was getting from, like, ‘Whoa, you’ve been listening to this for a year and you’re still going to listen to this?’
That’s not a lot of people.””
The whole thing was a reaction to that, so that was a lot more surprising to me,” he continued.
“It was something that wasn’t something I had done before, and I wasn’t going to do that.
It was really cool that people were responding so positively.
I feel like that’s what I was trying to get across to people.”
After “Empire State of Mind” was released, Jonas spent time with his bandmates in Europe, where they worked on their next album.
“They all really enjoyed working on that record, and they were able to just go out there and do it and enjoy themselves and just see what they want to do,” Jonas said.
“I think that album was really unique, and that’s something that I’m really proud of.”
In addition to his songwriting, Jonas has become a prominent voice in the fight against the opioid crisis.
Earlier this year, he called on the US to use “the hammer” against opioid addiction.
He was joined in his call by other celebrities, including Kate Winslet, who spoke in a powerful and personal plea for the country to focus on the opioid epidemic and the “silent majority” of Americans who are addicted to opioids.
Jonas said that he thinks the “tough choices” are facing Americans and that “we’re in a situation where we need to do a lot better than we’ve done.”
“I do think that the government is taking the lead, and we’re the silent majority,” he told Billboard.
“We’re just sitting here, in this dark place.
It’s very hard to make decisions for people.
We have a lot to be ashamed of.”
